Elevated Facility Services serves communities across the country through the buildings and facilities our teams maintain every day. Through Elevated Hearts, our employees now have another way to serve the places where they live and work.
What Is Elevated Hearts?
Elevated Hearts is Elevated Facility Services’ philanthropic initiative, built around a simple mission: lifting people, strengthening communities.
The initiative reflects The Care Factor, one of the values we share as part of APi Group. Through volunteer opportunities and other community efforts, employees can put that commitment into practice alongside organizations serving people in their communities.
Starting With Metropolitan Ministries
The first Elevated Hearts volunteer event took place with Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. The Tampa Bay nonprofit provides food, shelter, education and family support services to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
Members of our Tampa support office and St. Petersburg teams spent the day working in the food pantry, assisting in the daycare center, serving meals to people in need and taking on other tasks throughout the organization.
Putting the Care Factor Into Action
Volunteering gave our employees a chance to step outside their usual roles and contribute alongside colleagues from across the Tampa area. They worked side by side, took on hands-on tasks and saw firsthand how Metropolitan Ministries serves people in need.
The day also offered a different way for colleagues to connect. Working toward a shared purpose brought employees from different parts of the organization together outside their usual responsibilities.
What Comes Next for Elevated Hearts
The Metropolitan Ministries event was the first Elevated Hearts volunteer opportunity, with more to come.
As the initiative grows, Elevated will create additional ways for employees to volunteer and contribute to organizations in the areas where they live and work. Each effort will take a different form based on the organization’s needs and the people it serves.
